My small and very quaint studio is located on our property and was lovingly created by my husband Christopher. You’ll see my studio in much of my artwork, including While this site focuses on glass and lampworking, my business “A Mind 4 Design” encompasses a variety of genres including graphic design & precious metal clay. My journey with glass began in 2004 after I was introduced to the art during a weekend class offered at the New Hampshire League of Craftsmen. Sally Prasch, a renowned glass artist, was visiting the area teaching a beginner lampworking class and from the moment the first flint sparked, it ignited not only the flame but my passion for the art as well. It wasn’t until June of 2007, when my husband retired and turned his old shed into my studio that my dream to own my own torch and creative space came to fruition. I’ve been creating ever since and continue to learn and study this beautiful art. I’ve had the good fortune of learning from Sally again when I visited the Snow Farm, an artist retreat, in Massachusetts this past spring. I strive to learn new techniques and master the ones I know and hope that my beads bring as much joy to those that buy them as it does to me when creating them. |
